Birthday Cake and eggs

This morning, the Boy was humming "Jingle Bells".  Then Boy2 started, then the Girl.  I looked at the Boy and asked "Are you singing Jingle Bells??"  And he replied "No, Mom.  I'm humming."  Oh, boy!  He was serious too.

The Girl had a virus two weeks ago.  She said her mouth was owie, she stopped eating, stopped using her num, put up a huge fuss with tooth brushing, and had a fever (a pretty high one for a day or two).  Since she's gotten better, every morning we are faced with a very earnest almost-two-year-old demanding pancakes.  She's most insistent.

it really is a "6"
And the Boy has consistently asked for scrambled eggs every morning.  So, a week ago there was 3 dozen eggs in our fridge, and by Sunday they were all gone.  I had just enough to bake the birthday cake for the Boy.

My Boy turned 6 on Sunday!  It's sometimes very hard to believe how much has happened in the last few years.  Looking back, Hubby and I just passed our unofficial anniversary of 10 years together.  This Monday marks 7 years married, Tuesday is when our little Girl will be officially 2.  The Boy starts Grade One next week, Boy2 will start preschool, and it will be just Momma and the Girls at home for big chucks of the week.  Maybe the house will get and stay tidy!

I'm going to write more later tonight or tomorrow, right now I have lego to help put together :)
